We all may face the challenge of injury or illness with our Boxers in the future. The most important factor is a veterinarian that is knowledgeable and trusted. If we share our resources you can find the best vet in your area or that specializes in what is ailing your Boxer. Please tells us about your vet and why you are recommending them.
Last year we lost our 15-year old "black dog". She wasn't a boxer but she lived her life with them. When it came time for Jetty to go, we called a mobile vet - 911 Vets. Dr. Weinberg came to our house. It was as peaceful a parting as anyone could hope for. Jetty did not have to make that final trip to the vet's office - for which I'm sure she is eternally grateful. The website is www.911vets.com. The phone number is 1-866-491-1838. They serve the greater Los Angeles area.

I need a vet that is knowledgeable regarding the Boxer breed. I love the vet I have now but she is in Malibu and we live in Pasadena. I would prefer a vet that uses both holistic and medical approaches to vetinary care. Please help!!!!

dr. jaqueline gray 818-766-7197.
she was trained medically & has since ventured into more of a holistic approach. she combines both or advises which is best based on the situation. she makes house calls with her assistant. i think you can go to her as well? she has a great bedside manner & a true love for animals.

helpful hint: our rescue roscoe hates laying down on the vet's floor for his exams (if he needs to be in that position), so i have started bringing his rectangular fluffy blankie/mat with us. now he sits in one place longer & lays down on his own! i think with all of the foreign smells & the cold hard surfaces he couldn't get comfortable or with the smells he couldn't focus. so now he has his own smells & comforts of home and he's a completely different dog at the vet now! relaxed, calm & attentive.
